Does AI set the final price on my estimates?
No. FieldSquire drafts direct-cost line items from your scope, company pricing context, price history, and assumptions. Job photos stay attached to the quote as reference material and are not currently sent to Gemini. You can edit or delete every line. The app then applies your private overage and profit settings, and you approve the final customer price. Nothing reaches a customer without your review.
Can I use my own labor and material prices?
Yes — and you should. Upload or enter your own price list, or just correct AI-generated unit rates as you work. Every correction you save goes into your private company price book and gets prioritized on matching work later. Within a few weeks of normal use, the drafts start looking like your numbers, not generic ones.
Will my learned prices be shared with other contractors?
No, ever. Solo pricing stays with your signed-in account. On Crew, learned prices are shared only with the authorized members of your own company workspace. FieldSquire never uses one contractor's rates to price another contractor's work — your pricing is a competitive asset and we treat it that way.
Are profit and overage visible to my customer?
No. Those calculations stay private to you. The customer sees the scope, line items, subtotal, deposit, total, terms, and approval information — a clean professional document, not your margin math.
Can my customer sign and pay a deposit on my phone?
Yes. Set a fixed or percentage deposit, hand them your phone or tablet, and they approve with a drawn signature or typed name. FieldSquire records the approval date and includes it on the finished PDF. You can also send the estimate by text or email for remote approval.
How much quoting time does this actually save?
Depends on your volume and how you quote today. The workflow is built so a walkthrough becomes a customer-ready PDF in a couple of minutes instead of an evening at the kitchen table. As a worked example: saving 30 minutes across 20 quotes a week returns about 10 hours weekly. Your mileage is your mileage — that's why the trial runs on real jobs.
How does the Crew plan work for teams?
Up to five members — owner, salespeople, foremen — share one company workspace: leads, estimates, job photos, branding, and the learned price book. Each member signs estimates under their own name.
Can I use Meta glasses with Hands-Free Quote?
Meta glasses audio compatibility is in field testing. When the glasses are available to the phone as a standard Bluetooth microphone, FieldSquire can use that audio path for the spoken scope. Confirm the active microphone before recording. Job photos currently come from the phone camera; direct glasses-camera capture and live wake-word controls are separate roadmap work. Smart glasses are not required.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
The no-card Solo trial ends automatically with no charge. Your saved work remains, but quoting stays locked until you choose Solo or Crew. Each FieldSquire account may use only one free trial.
Does it work on Android, iPhone, tablets, and Chromebook?
FieldSquire is available now for Android phones, compatible Android tablets, and supported Chromebooks through Google Play, and for iPhone through the App Store. Android Lead Catcher requires a supported cellular phone and is not available on tablets, Chromebooks, or iOS.
Is FieldSquire a full accounting or takeoff platform?
No, on purpose. FieldSquire is the fast path from a lead to an approved estimate: leads, estimates, approvals, deposits, and documents. It doesn't replace detailed plan takeoff, engineering, code review, bookkeeping, or legal advice — and it doesn't try to bury you in modules you'll never open.
